Welcome to 1,820 metres above sea level! To ensure you enjoy an authentic, stress-free experience in the heart of the Dolomites, please read these instructions carefully.
🎒 1. Getting Ready: What to Bring
IMPORTANT: The refuge can only be reached on foot.
Luggage: Please use a hiking backpack. Trolleys and hard suitcases are strongly discouraged, as the trails make them very difficult to bring along.
Clothing: You'll be in the high mountains — bring proper footwear (hiking boots) and dress in layers.
🚗 2. Parking in Arabba
The refuge cannot be reached by car. You can leave your vehicle in the car parks in the centre of Arabba.
All car parks (both free and paid) are about a 5-minute walk from the start of the trails.
🥾 3. How to Reach Us on Foot
From Arabba you can choose between two pleasant walks:
Option A – Trail 637 (the most direct):
Start: Near the Burz chairlift (village centre).
Route: A forest-and-pasture track crossing the ski slopes. The first stretch is short but steep.
Distance/Time: 1.3 km | about 30 minutes | 200 m elevation gain.
Option B – Trail 638 "Panorama" (the most scenic):
Start: To the left of Garnì Ru de Mont (towards Passo Campolongo).
Route: A trail weaving in and out of the woods with gentler gradients. At the fork, keep left towards Plan Boè.
Distance/Time: 1.6 km | about 35 minutes | 200 m elevation gain.
Please note: watch out for mountain bikers sharing the same trails.
🔑 4. Check-in and Welcome
Check-in time: From 3:00 PM onwards.
